VALENTINE'S DAY CUPCAKES
Today I thought I'd show you how to make my cute little Valentine's Day Cupcakes! These are sooooo easy that I am going to make 50 for my daughters class!
First of all, bake a batch of regular sized cupcakes of your choice. I made triple chocolate chip! Yum!
No…...I didn't eat the missing cupcake! |
See? Here he is! = ) |
You make the coloured sugar in whichever colour you want….I mixed Pillar Box Red and Rose Pink for a really cool coral colour! |
Ice your cupcakes, I cheated and used Betty Crocker's Vanilla Icing….how can something so bad for you taste so good? : / |
Sprinkle cupcake with your coloured sugar…..oooooh! Sparkly! |
Pop into your cupcake wrapper and pop in the topper (I must confess, I find it easier to do this BEFORE icing!) Use your own judgement. |
A pic up of how your cupcake should look…! Yum! |
A little styling and you're set to be a star! You'll knock everyone's socks off with these professional looking cupcakes! Now, how easy was THAT?! ; ) Make them any size you want….this one is a mini, just shrink the wrapper and topper to whatever size you like…..TA….DA!!! |
SAFARI CUPCAKES
Want a ROAR….ing good party? These adorable little Safari animal enclosure cupcakes are just the thing you need!
They are so easy to make too! All you need is a cupcake (or well, enough for everyone….) a tub of Betty Crocker's Chocolate Frosting, Desiccated Coconut, Food Colouring and my little Safari Cupcake Wrappers and Toppers…available in my shop.
So we'll start off much like before…..first, the cupcake….
Pretty underwhelming right? Even this sad little cupcake can look like a star!
Just get a knife and spread some frosting over the cupcake…make sure you cover all the edges! |
Get some regular desiccated coconut and add a couple of drops of yellow and a drop or so of green to get a realistic grass colour, mix well, if needs be add a tiny bit of water to mix in the colour, if you do this just dry the coconut out in the oven or microwave for a few minutes, but be careful it doesn't toast or burn! |
Holding it carefully upside down, dip the cupcake into the coloured coconut, make sure all the frosting is covered. |
Push in your cupcake toppers for your very own safari enclosure! I love the little hut, but I cut off the monkey to make it part of the toucans enclosure. |
Here our friendly little snake is saying hello! |
The giraffe is my favourite! He's just so cute!! So there you go! Your completed cupcake! Now all you need is some styling and your party will be complete! |
